Pat has been obsessed with the guitar since he first picked one up at age twelve and began learning
simple chords and melodies from a Pete Seeger instructional book. His background as a drummer in a garage rock band helped with the transition and he never looked back. As a youth, the St. Paul, Minnesota native pestered guitarists playing at Twin Cities coffee houses and blues venues, seeking tips on playing. Borrowing bits and pieces of the styles of finger picking pioneers he admired, he taught himself to play, building a repertoire flavored by Blind Blake, Django Reinhart and Chet Atkins.

Tapers notes: Part of Rock Bend Folk Festival 2024. This is usually an end of the summer event I look forward to every year, but this years lineup was pretty underwhelming. I went for the last couple bands of the night, this one and Humbird to close out the night. It's still always a fun time going to this festival, but I'm hoping next year the lineup will return to form.

Tapers notes: Part of Rock Bend Folk Festival 2022. I hate leaving setlists so empty like this, but I'm not familiar with the language, so I had to go purely by the music, so I was able to match up a couple songs, but that's all. If anyone speaks Spanish (I think that's the language they are using), please feel free to fill in the blanks if possible.
