Tapers notes: This was the last show of a month long weekly residency. Becky was joined by Brandon Sampson of local band Six Mile Grove, and they complimented each other perfectly. The setlist is full of great songs, including a cover of one of my favorite songwriters, Ryan Adams. While Ryan and Emmylou's version of Sweet Carolina is impossible to top, the band did it justice here. Becky also sang an original of her's that I requested, Cheyenne, and it sounded beautiful, so thanks to Becky for that. I have another show of Becky's in the queue that I'll be working on, plus another festival she'll be appearing at in a couple weeks, so plenty of Becky to come for fans of her.

Tapers notes: This was the first show of an "every Thursday in May" residency, I was able to record this one and the last one of the month. The first set is just Becky and Taylor James Donskey, the second and third are with the full band. Sound quality here is pretty good, during the first acoustic set background noise is more noticeable, but during the full band sets it's better. Becky is fast becoming one of my favorite musicians to record, she plays multiple genres with different bands, and they are all full of top notch musicians. Couple that with Becky's beautiful voice it makes for a real treat, and I'm glad to be able to capture some of her live shows.
