Among the lineup for Saturday in the Park 2023 music festival, one local name should stand out for local country music fans – Dane Louis. The charismatic country musician hailing from Sioux City performs at 3:15 PM on the main stage, and he says, he’s ready to captivate the crowd once again with his heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies. Dane Louis first performed at SITP in 2021 on the Abe Stage.

Tapers notes: Part of Saturday in the Park. This was my first time attending this event and I definitely will be coming back, lots of fun. This set was hampered by a downpour the last few minutes of it, so you can hear my trying to cover up my recorder, and eventually the rain just got to be too much and I had to take it down to prevent damage. The last track has flaws because of this, I fade it out where I took it off my stand as the audio after that is unlistenable (only the last 2 or so minutes of the set is missing). But, after about 20 minutes the rain let up and it was perfect the rest of the night. This band isn't usually my type of music, but I figured someone might enjoy it and as long as I was there, why not document it?
