Tapers notes: Well, I finally commited the cardinal sin of tapers...I forgot to hit "record". I spent a few minutes before the show with Josie trying to figure out why the volume was so low coming from the soundboard to my recorder and we were able to figure it out. I was pretty pleased, this will eliminate a lot of the hiss present in previous recordings of her. I finished setting everything up and went to my seat, and in between sets I went to stop the recorder and start it again for the second set. My heart sank as I saw I had never started it in the first place. Thankfully, the Zoom had been going, so the first set was recorded, but not in the quality I had hoped for. The second set is SBD/AUD mixed, and it sounds great to my ears, so hopefully going forward this will create a lot better recordings of Josie. Just gotta remember to hit record, ha.
